From Candy Land to Boujee: How It All Started

A Little Look at the Story Behind Britney's Boujee Decor

Believe it or not, Britney's Boujee Decor didn't start with a business plan, a website, or even the intention of selling wreaths.

It all started with Halloween decorations, a couple of scared little ones, and a promise to make Christmas a little more magical!

It All Started with a Little Halloween Scare πŸ‘»

I absolutely love decorating for the holidays. And if you've seen some of my creations, you probably already know that I don't exactly believe in keeping things simple!

Well, after decorating for Halloween, my nephew and grandbaby were a little less impressed with my spooky decorations than I was.

Actually, they were scared of them! πŸ˜‚

So, I promised them that when Christmas came around, I'd make something fun instead.

Something colorful, happy, and magical.

And that's how my Candy Land Christmas theme was born!

From a Candy Land Yard to Something Much Bigger 🍭

I started making my own Christmas decorations for my yard, bringing my Candy Land vision to life one creation at a time.

Bright colors, oversized candy, whimsical decorations, and all the fun things that make Christmas feel magical.

What started as a way to make the holidays special for the little ones quickly turned into something I genuinely loved doing.

I found myself coming up with more ideas, trying new things, and figuring out how to turn what I pictured in my head into something I could actually create.

And somewhere along the way, that little Christmas project turned into a passion for handmade decor.

One project led to another, and eventually, Britney's Boujee Decor was born!

My Creative Escape from the Everyday

If you don't know me personally, I spend my days working with people and numbers.

Lots and lots of numbers!

And while I enjoy what I do, there's something completely different about walking into my craft area and getting to be creative.

There's no spreadsheet telling me what colors go together, no formula for how big a bow should be, and definitely no rule that says I can't add just a little more sparkle!

Crafting has become my creative outlet.

It's where I can take an idea, experiment with it, change my mind a dozen times, and eventually watch something beautiful come to life.

And let me tell you, seeing a creation finally come together exactly how I imagined it makes me so happy!

Sometimes it turns out even better than I pictured. Other times, I take half of it apart and start over.

That's just part of the fun!

My Favorite Little Helpers ❀️

One of my absolute favorite things about having my craft area is watching the little ones get excited about it, too.

When they come over, they'll run straight to my crafting area to see what I'm working on and what they can help me make.

And I love every second of it.

There's something so special about seeing their excitement, watching their imaginations work, and letting them be part of creating something.

It's funny to think that this whole adventure started because I wanted to make Christmas decorations that wouldn't scare them.

And now they're some of my biggest little crafting fans!

Those moments mean just as much to me as finishing a beautiful wreath.

How My Style Has Evolved

If you've looked through my shop, you've probably noticed that my style isn't exactly ordinary.

I love big, bold, colorful designs. I love unique characters, unexpected details, beautiful ribbons, and pieces that make people stop and look twice.

Some of my creations are elegant. Some are whimsical. Some are spooky. And some are just completely over the top!

But that's what I love about creating.

I don't have to stick to one style or one theme.

My imagination gets to go wherever it wants, and every new project gives me an opportunity to try something different.

What started with Candy Land Christmas decorations has grown into wreaths, swags, centerpieces, seasonal decorations, and custom creations.

More Than Just a Small Business

Britney's Boujee Decor has become so much more to me than making decorations and selling them.

It's something that brings me happiness.

It's an opportunity to be creative, to challenge myself, and to make things that I hope bring a little joy into someone else's home.

I love knowing that something I created with my own two hands might become part of another family's holiday traditions.

Maybe it's a wreath that welcomes everyone at the front door, a Christmas decoration that makes a child smile, or a special piece someone brings out year after year.

That's what makes this so rewarding.

And This Is Just the Beginning! ✨

I never imagined that decorating my yard for Christmas would lead me here.

But I'm so glad it did.

I'm still learning, still experimenting, still coming up with ideas, and still occasionally making a gigantic mess in my craft area!

And I wouldn't have it any other way.

Whether you've purchased something from me, followed along on social media, shared my creations, or simply stopped by to see what I'm making next, thank you for being part of this journey.

I can't wait to see what I create next.

And to think, it all started with a couple of scared little ones and a Candy Land Christmas! 🍭❀️
